Gatorade had aired a commercial in the US, then decided it was suitable for other territories as well. They'd shot their actors drinking from each of the different bottle variations in their range, so the task was to match the grade in the new footage with the same shots in the existing US commercial.

This entailed matching the actor's skin tone and the background, and then masking off and enhancing all the various elements of the Gatorade itself - the silver of the label, white logo with its red flash, and the orange of the drink.

There were two shots, the drink and the slam...

Gatorade had filmed their actors doing more or less the same drinking actions in three different shots, using several different-shaped bottles for their Latin American campaign.

We were asked to change the bottle labels for two of these territories, and found that the movement of the bottle - through three different rotations - required a 3D solution.

Tracking and compositing the 3D renders, matching the lighting and replacing the condensation on the labels was quite a challenge.
