For this commercial we were supplied with the original master, flat artwork and a dummy pack.

The new design was very different to the one in the original footage and the manufacturing process meant that the flat artwork did not look the same as the physical pack. We were able to bring together all of the material to replace the products in the commercial. We also added extra shadow and highlight detail to give more realism to the packs.

In this job we had to change the red Doritos bag for a green one, and add the red and green chilli emblem. This was all done with tracking and compositing.

There was some very heavy grain on several of the shots, which we reduced and smoothed out discreetly with some proprietary software.

This commercial comprises one continuous shot using camera trickery to create the illusion that the main character breathes fire after eating a spicy chip.

We were required to use our own trickery to match the complex movement of the pack, which blends in seamlessly.

The Doritos Hero commercials have been aired all over the world. Our workflow has allowed the agency to efficiently and cost effectively create multiple versions of the TVC.
